Connie`s Cafe in Ossineke

I’ve had many different breakfast’s here and everyone of my visits have been top notch. Connie’s just knows how to do it right.There is a screened porch dining as well as the indoor area. Nice view of Connie’s gardens. It’s not a huge dining area but sufficient and not really noisy. It is quieter outside.Had The Popeye Omelette. It’s a nice 3 egg omelette with large portions of ingredients plus potatoes and homemade bread & jam. Also we had a fried chicken sandwich with fries and coke slaw, and Old Fashioned Ham Breakfast. All were delicious and plenty to eat.Connie’s is more than worth the trip but cone between 10:15 - 11:30 if you want to avoid the crowd. Weekends will have long waits.

Always very very very very busy, but they are so fast and the food is just deeeeeeelicious. Just amazing. I dream about this food it is so good

Connie’s is the best down home cooking you’ll ever have. She makes fresh bread daily - white, wheat, rye and cinnamon. It’s the star of a lot of her dishes. She makes amazing soup, too. Breakfast is phenomenal with your basic eggs and meat options (all delicious) and if you have a sweet tooth, the giant cinnamon roll (and I mean GIANT) is delectable. Great wraps and sandwiches for lunch. Favorites like pot roast or hot turkey are yummy! The dining room is small, tables no booths, but there are high tops available in a screened-in room where you can look out at Connie’s beautiful garden. The waitresses are friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. You can take a cinnamon roll home or opt for a variety of cookies or pies Connie has available. Haven’t tried a bad one yet! From start to finish, it’s an experience you won’t forget.

Never had a bad meal here! Try or take home the giant cinnamon roll. Mmm so good! Oh did I mention their homemade bread! Every thing is made from scratch and the staff is friendly too😄

Excellent place! I must stop and eat at! They have the world's best cinnamon rolls! I have family come up from downstate just to have the cinnamon rolls. They do a wonderful job. 👍😀😃😎😷

You just haven’t had a hearty feel-good breakfast until you’ve had Connies breakfast. The vibe is great, food is consistently excellent and I am never disappointed with this restaurant. I’ve eaten at this restaurant for over 15 years and it just never fails to impress.

Food was good. I can see why people like the humongous cinnamon rolls, but they were too sweet for me. We did enjoy walking through the beautiful garden after breakfast.

Super friendly staff, always best breakfast in town, get there early to avoid a wait! Excellent bacon and daily specials.

A very nice hometown cafe and diner. The cinnamon rolls are homemade and quite delicious if you can finish one. Worth a stop even if you're busy passing through.

We loved our breakfast, and the service was top notch. The waitress was busy but still checked on us and brought us things as the meal progressed. The gardens are beautiful and we sat in the screened in porch section, a very nice option.

Went here for breakfast on a recommendation. So glad we went. The food, service and ambiance were great. I'll definitely be returning. They had a nice backyard with little gardens that I think would be really nice and peaceful in the summer.

The food is good & our server was pleasant. I have a hard time remembering their hours they close at 2:00 PM week days are opened later on Fridays for supper time.

They have lots of great menu items. Love the breakfast food and the glazed bacon is delicious. They have the largest and most tasty cinnamon rolls I have ever encountered. Super filling and oh so tasty. Good prices and good service too!

Always busy but busiest in the morning. If you go on Sunday you have to go early or the church rush might make you wait a long time. But trust me it is worth the wait if you have to do so. Everything is delicious. The grilled cinnamon rolls are to die for!

Staff is very friendly. Table turnover is quick, so even if the parking lot is packed you shouldn't have too long to wait. There is also a garden on the side. I have only been for breakfast so far, but would I go back? In a heartbeat. 😄

Not that impressed with take out dinner. The Pot roast gravy was too salty for my liking. The extra emphasis of salt concerned me with the quality of pork I was eating. The french fries with the club were cold (I'm assuming this was an accident). The chewy choc chip cookies were good.

Excellent food and service. It's clean, has a great outdoor eating area, and tgey make their own baked goods.

I might be a little bias since Connie is my dad's cousin's, but with that said I can honestly say the food is terrific. Everything baked there is out of this world good. There is a reason the parking lot is always packed, and its because the food is good, and the people making, and serving it are even better.

Hotbeef sandwich was very salty only ate part of a half. Large cinnamon roll to go was too dry. Probably won't go back.

Best breakfast and lunch in the North. Cinnamon Rolls are a must, enough to feed a family of four. All home cooking with wonderful wait staff.

I agree with virtually all of the others that have rated this restaurant. They do a super job. The value is great and the service is great. If your hungry and you want a good breakfast lunch or dinner, visit this institution!

Food was good service slow, it's a cool stop if you're not in a hurry.

I think they re did their menu over the yr. Food is good and competitively priced and it's always busy. Biggest complaint is the coffee...just not good and the check-out process could be a little more streamlined. Ultimately when back in the area I will stop in. Cinnamon rolls are good as well.

My aunt used to work here and i have been eating here since i was a baby. Cinnamon Roles are the best and their food is made to order and fresh.

This is the second year I've had the chance to stop by Connie's for a large and satisfying breakfast. After having a piece of huge cinnamon roll, I order the triple decker breakfast sandwich. I was impressed by how tasty each of the sandwich layers were and loved the crispy home fries that came with it. It was a cool late summer morning so the covered outside area was ideal for a relaxing breakfast with the family. Would highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area.

Always great to stop for a meal. Great breakfast options, and wonderful homemade bread. Normally closed at 3:00 pm, but open Friday night for a fish fry.

Great food, good service. Famous for the HUGE cinnamon rolls! YUM! It's always extremely busy when we make our annual trek here the Friday morning before Labor day, so I don't know how busy it is other days & times. Nice asphalt parking lot with several wheelchair-accessible spaces by door.

Best JUMBO Cinnamon Roll of my life. And boy do they knew there homemade jelly is good. Just thinking about there food, makes me want to drool lol. Diffidently going on my next Vacation there.
